Sharon Hill Fire CO Reports:
Engine 09-2 was dispatched along with Glenolden Fire Company, Folcroft Fire Company, Holmes Fire Company (RIT) and Norwood EMS for a reported house fire. Medic 100D arrived first and reported heavy fire showing from the 1st floor. Engine 09-2 was first arriving to find a 2.5 Story Wood Frame Twin with fire showing from first floor, rapidly extending to the second floor as well as radiant heat melting the siding of the unattached Delta Exposure. Engine9-2 laid a 5″ supply line for water supply and stretched x2 1.75″ handlines for fire suppression as well as exposure protection. PECO (Electric Company) was requested to respond due to involvement of electrical service. Bulk of the fire was knocked down within 30mins, and crews started clearing within 2hrs of initial dispatch. A total of 4 handlines were stretched in total.
