HYDE PARK — The owners of a popular riverfront restaurant that burned down are pondering their next step.

The Brass Anchor, which burned down Saturday night, was insured, according to Roseanne Vanikiotis. The Vanikiotis family has owned the popular Hyde Park restaurant since 1989.

Vanikiotis said the family has not discussed any plans to rebuild the restaurant.
‘‘We’re still reeling from the whole thing,’’ Vanikiotis said. ‘‘The reality of it has yet to sink in — I’m sure the brothers will talk about this soon, but it hasn’t been discussed.’’

All that remains of the popular The Brass Anchor after Saturday night’s fire is charred debris.
