Engine 37 on scene 2.5 story dwelling with heavy fire in rear from an auto fire extending into dwelling. B-44 updates with fire on all floors and no exposure issues as of yet. Arching wires hampered initial attack crews and Power company requested to scene. Extra 2&1 sent by request of B-44 for bars on doors making entry difficult. An aggressive search was conducted on 1st and 2nd floors with no access to rear or attic. Rescue 1 makes entry into rear of structure on 2nd floor by opening wall. B-56 requests balance of 2nd Alarm for manpower. A door was finally located into attic and search began but had negative results due to attic being sectioned off. Now with heavy fire in attic crews are pushed back into a defensive mode. and Truck 4 opened a master stream into attic to knock the bulk of fire down. Crews make another attempt into attic for suppression and searches. Truck 2 sets up on #2 side of dwelling to help with overhaul of attic space. B-56 requests Engine 28 bring Wood Wagon on scene. Due to instability of dwelling shoring of 2nd floor was performed. Crews were finally able to reach attic and recovered 3 victims and a dog which were DOA. Dwelling was deemed unstable and Emergency Demo was ordered.
