Delta firefighters arrived to find the large barn fully engulfed in fire.
It has been confirmed that all of the 20 or so horses and numerous cats were safely rescued.
Fire crews fought the fire from a defensive stance as there was too much fire involvement on arrival.
No word on a cause yet. One person who rescued some of the animals suffered minor smoke inhalation.
Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 7, Tanker 1 & Battalion 1 responded.
