On April 7, 2014, around 17:30 hours, the North Amityville Fire Company was activated for a structure fire in the Frontier Trailer Park, 900 RT. 110. Firefighters arrived to find two mobile homes fully involved. Several lines were stretched, mutual aid was requested from; Amityville, South Farmingdale, and East Farmingdale to the scene. In total 2 mobile homes were destroyed, one sustained minor extension, and a fourth trailer sustained radiant heat damage.
