Firefighters responded to a fire in a single family dwelling. En route, dispatch advised of multiple occupants possibly inside. Upon arrival, first due companies observed heavy flames from the back of the D-side of the house. Bystanders told crews there were two victims still inside. Initial arriving companies began a stretch & rescue operation. With the victim alert & trying to call out from a front bedroom, firefighters located & removed the victim in zero visibility & rapidly advancing flames. As crews continued searching for the second victim, command was informed that all occupants were accounted for. Crews then focused their attention on bringing the fire under control. The blaze was extinguished quickly after that. 1 person was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
