11/1/2013 Los Angeles County Firefighters first on scene at 3252 West Rosecrans Avenue reported heavy smoke showing from a one story Earl Scheib Paint and Body Shop in the City of Hawthorne. Firefighters quickly ventilated the roof and attacked the fire with hoselines which involved the spray booth area of the 50 by 150 ft. “L shaped” commercial building. The main bulk of fire was knocked down in 40 minutes. There were reports of Firefighters discovering a body in the fire damaged structure. The cause of the early morning blaze is under investigation.
