Detroit Fire Truck In Accident On Way To Fire on West Side

Several Detroit fire fighters had to leave their truck behind after they were involved in an accident on the way to a fire.

It happened at Buchanan and 14th Street. The fire truck had its lights and sirens on as it headed to the fire at Grand River and Buchanan.

Police say the fire truck hit a car that tried to cross the intersection in front of it. The force of the crash crumpled the rear of the car and forced it into a nearby poll.

None of the fire fighters were injured. They left the truck behind for crash investigators. The woman in the car suffered a scratch on her head.
