School Bus Fire Shuts Down West Side Highway

(New York – WABC, March 13, 2007) – A mini-school bus caught fire on the West Side Highway Tuesday morning, shutting down the highway in both directions.

Officials say all seven of the students were able to get off safely.
The southbound bus reportedly caught fire near West 95th Street just after 8:45 a.m.

The students on board the bus got off before the flames spread. The students, the driver and the attendant were all uninjured.
