Brotherhood: Life of the FDNY

I recently heard some good things about the movie: Brotherhood: Life of the FDNY
I figured it was worth sharing with the visitors who may have not allready seen it.

“Still the occupation to which most little boys aspire, firefighting remains one of the world’s most difficult callings–not only for the sheer physical demands of battling blazes, but also because of the nationwide budget cuts trimming the ranks of local departments. Acclaimed documentarian Lilibet Foster (SPEAKING IN STRINGS) explores the universal challenges faced by all firefighters through the particular stories of the nation’s most celebrated fire department, New York City’s FDNY. Utilizing small hidden cameras, Foster’s riveting documentary accompanies Brooklyn’s Squad 252, Queens’ Rescue Company 4, and Manhattan’s Rescue Company 1 as they save lives and struggle for their own livelihoods, resulting in a thrilling behind-the-scenes portrait of a truly noble, yet increasingly underfunded, profession.”
