July 4 Parade Reminder

July 4th Parade

Southampton Fire Departments 125th Anniversary! Everyone should come out and attend the parade and march. SFD members are to meet at Railroad Plaza @ 9:00am. Uniform of the day will be determined by 7-3-30. Listen to the announcements prior to the 4th.

The Chiefs would like to ask that everyone participate in celebrating the Southampton Fire Departments 125th year of existence by marching in the parade, We are looking for a large turnout for this special occasion. Members who are not able to walk in the parade will be able to ride in the Chiefs truck or apparatus. We have approximately 46 seats available, so there should be no reason for people to not participate. In addition, the Hampton Road fire house will be open for refreshments and hot dogs for all those who participated in the parade, and their families. Members who are going to go to Hampton Road fire house afterwards, should remain in their “Class B” uniforms.As per the chiefs.Class B uniform will include the following for the July 4th parade: Hat, Blue uniform shirt,Black belt, uniform pants, black socks and uniform shoes. Please take a moment and look at the sketch on the bulletin board at Windmill lane fire house for the correct placement and pins that should be worn on the class B. Only items listed below should be worn on the class B: Badge, wildfire pin, firemen of the year, medal of valor and collar brass.If you are a member without a Class B uniform, Please wear Blue jeans and a Southampton Fire Department t-shirt. If you need a new t-shirt contact your company officer ASAP with the size and to schedule a pick date and time.Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to a great turnout.
